Join Gi5.1 on their first visit to Donnington Le Heath, on Halloween Night, allegedly the night that spirits roam free.
The house has a fascinating history and is now fully restored with fine oak furnishings
Built around 1280, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in England. It has also been established that the building sits on Anglo Saxon foundations, suggesting that an even earlier structure once occupied the site. It has a south facing hall and two wings adjoining the north side, which are surrounded by a moat. There have been some alterations made, during the 17th century, including some of the windows and the ground floor entrance. The building has been renovated by Leicestershire County Council and is now a museum open to the public.
Refreshments will be available through-out the night.
